Volunteer Opportunities
The mission of the teen volunteer program is to train teens to become recreation leaders and to provide assistance to our summer programs. We strive to increase confi dence in teens as well as to develop communication and leadership skills. Student Service Learning hours may be earned upon successful completion of the program.
Responsible teens who are able to make a commitment for an entire program session will be placed on the basis of skills, interest, session availability, and location preferences. All assignments provide training, the opportunity to work with children, and to enhance leadership ability. Program sites are subject to change, due to MCPS schedule.
