Gitty Mohebban

Gitty Mohebban teaches fencing for the Montgomery County Department of Recreation. She received a B.A. from the University of Tehran and an M.A. in Physical Education from Howard University.  She was a fencing, archery, and volleyball coach at both the University of Tehran, and Howard University.

She held the National Gold Medal for fencing in Iran for 16 years. She was a gold medalist in 1973’s International Olympics and 1974’s Asian Olympics. She competed 14 times in the World Championship and finished 8^th in the 1976 Olympics in Montreal.
