Mercedes Santos
Mercedes Santos has been practicing yoga for 15 years and is a registered instructor with the Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level. Mercedes encourages students to explore how the body, breath and mind work together to create a balance between strength and flexibility and effort and ease. She primarily teaches a blend of Iyengar and classical Ashtanga styles, and her classes include meditation for focusing the mind. Mercedes’ approach to yoga comes out of her experience as an athlete, as well her interest in body awareness and alternative healing modalities. As someone who discovered yoga relatively late in life, she enjoys working with and encouraging those of all ages who are new to yoga.
