THOMAS P. WOLL

Since 1977, Thomas (Tom) Woll has been teaching ballroom and hustle dance for the adult recreation classes in Fairfax, Arlington, Alexandria and MontgomeryCounties, and privately in his home studio.He is also the owner of a very successful independent dance instruction company, Tom Woll & Associates, which offers instruction in disco, nightclub and ballroom dancing primarily through 35 adult recreation classes in these Counties with over 500 students per semester.Instruction is also provided for private groups, sport & health companies, military clubs, privately in a home studio, and in leased facilities.The TW&A staff, most are part-time and hold full time professional positions in other fields, currently consists of about 12 highly qualified instructors with many years of extensive experience as instructors with nationally known dance studios.

The company, Tom Woll & Associates, has developed a dance curricula synchronized among the various County recreation jurisdictions to provide a coordinated dance instruction program for those interested in learning the skill of ballroom dancing which allows new students to start at very low nominal cost.Various dance instruction aids, including video tapes, audio tapes, CD practice music, and instruction manual publications are offered for sale to assist in the student’s learning process.

Tom Woll started his career in ballroom dance in 1975 with the Arthur Murray Dance Schools and competed in various competition showcases receiving the highest awards and honors.He is a member of the National Dance Council of America, the Professional Dancers Federation, is an Associate Member of the US Amateur Ballroom Dance Association and was one of the organizers of the Inter-City Amateur Dance Challenge - a local one-day dance competition, held annually in May for over 17 years.

Professionally, Mr. Woll holds a BS in Electrical Engineering, a MS in System Science, is a Professional Engineer in three States and has been employed by the US Department of Transportation, Federal Railroad Administration since 1969.
