The Good Hope Neighborhood Center is located on Good Hope Road in Silver Spring, and serves its community with a variety of activities, classes, and programs. The Center is 5,534 square feet, and is equipped with an all-purpose room, gymnasium, a lobby, and a kitchen facility. Our all-purpose room can accommodate up to 70 people, and provides space for a variety of social and dance activities. The warming kitchen is adjacent to the all-purpose room. The all-purpose room can be rented for private parties, conferences, and community meetings with fees determined by the type and size of the event.

During the summer months an outdoor Sprayground is operated by certified staff to help cool everyone off. Call the Aquatics unit at 301-989-1206 for dates and hours of operation. Outdoor facilities are extensive and also include two baseball fields, basketball courts, a play area for children, and tennis court. 70 parking spaces are in front of the Neighborhood Center.

Programs:

Open Gym: Self-directed basketball on Wednesdays 7-9pm for Adults over 18.

Bilingual senior program: The Chinese American Senior Service Association (CASSA) provides leisure, educational, cultural, and fitness and wellness opportunities for senior adults, ages 55 and over. Please call the center for information.

Micro-Flyers Club:An opportunity for the public to learn how to construct a micro-plane and fly it. The Club sponsors free flying time program and support. Planes are generally wood crafted, band powered models. Contact Norm Davison at 301-460-4088 for more information. Meeting time 6-9pm
