Thursday, November 26, 2009: Thanksgiving Day - No County-provided recycling or trash collections on November 26; Thursday and Friday collections that week shift by one day. Transfer Station closes at 5 p.m. on November 25; closed November 26.
Effective September 21, 2009, our recycling program expanded to accept additional blue bin and mixed paper items!
All Transfer Station users must separate recyclables and trash,
and deliver them to the appropriate sections of the facility. We cannot
accept recyclables and trash mixed together.

Proof of residency is required for residential users.
The Transfer Station accepts cash and checks only. Credit or debit cards are not accepted.

Loads of trash under 500 pounds
Trucks and vehicles with large trailers must first stop at the truck scales, accessed via the Shady Grove Truck Entrance. This entrance is open Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., except for select holidays.

Bottles, jars, aluminum cans and clean aluminum foil, bi-metals cans, and plastic bottles, containers, and lids. Vehicles must be self-dumping; no hand-unloading at the Materials Recovery Facility.
All dry paper generated at residences, including multi-family buildings. Private businesses accept non-residential paper. No hand-unloading at the Materials Recovery Facility.
