How may I pay?

The Transfer Station accepts cash and checks only. Credit or debit cards are not accepted.

To set up an account with the Solid Waste Transfer Station or the Montgomery County Recycling Center, please call (240) 777-6400.

No charge for residents who self-haul; fees apply to commercial customers delivering materials acceptable as noted.

Includes these hand-unloaded materials:

• Accepted from residents and commercial customers
  • metal appliances and other scrap metal
  • clothing and textiles
  • commingled ("blue bin") containers
  • electronics
  • all dry mixed paper
  • yard trim (grass, leaves, brush) up to 6" in diameter
• Accepted only from residents
  • rechargeable batteries - lead acid and other non-alkaline
  • motor oil & antifreeze
  • propane cylinders
  • tires

Recyclable Materials Recovery Facility (MRF)

Notes

1. Bottles, jars, aluminum cans and clean aluminum foil, bi-metals cans, and plastic bottles, containers, and lids. Vehicles must be self-dumping; no hand-unloading at the Materials Recovery Facility.

2. All dry paper generated at residences, including multi-family buildings. Private businesses accept non-residential paper. No hand-unloading at the Materials Recovery Facility.
