Montgomery County is committed to providing mobility for seniors and persons with disabilities.
We heard from you and we've made major changes to meet your needs better and make your travel more convenient. All of Ride On's buses are wheelchair accessible. The County's transit system is one of the best in the country. It consists of Ride On, Metrobus, Metrorail, and special transportation programs such as MetroAccess and Call 'N' Ride.

The Regional Special Transportations System

MetroAccess

Complementing the transit system in the County, MetroAccess provides service for disabled persons who are unable to use the regular transit systems and have been certified eligible to use Special Transportations service.

If you think you are eligible, complete an application and have it certified.

Call 'N' Ride Program
Expanding the Program; Reducing the Cost

This Montgomery County program provides subsidized taxi trips for low-income persons with disabilities and seniors.
To be eligible for the Call 'N' Ride Program, you must be low income and at least 67 years of age or low income and at least 16 years of age with a disability. If you are less than 67 years of age, you must show proof of disability. Clients may purchase two (2) $60 monthly coupon books at discounts according to income. You may use the coupons on taxicabs from companies under contract with the County. Coupons may be used to pay for the full cost of the fare or may be combined with cash to pay for your trip.

Taxi You are now able to purchase Call 'N' Ride coupon books each month.

1. If you pay $5.25 for $60 worth of coupons, you can now pay $15.25 and receive $120 worth of coupons.

2. If you pay $10.00 for $60 worth of coupons, you can now pay $25 and receive $120 worth of coupons.

3. If you pay $20.00 for $60 worth of coupons, you can pay $45.00 and receive $120 worth of coupons.

4. If you pay $30.00 for $60 worth of coupons, you can pay $65.00 and receive $120 worth of coupons.

This option allows you more flexibility with your travel throughout the area. So plan to visit family and friends in the area or enjoy an additional trip to the movies. The Montgomery County Call 'N' Ride Program is happy to help with your transportation needs.

Same Day Access Program

Thank you for visiting the Montgomery County Same Day Access page. You can order Call 'N' Ride Coupons online for Same Day Access Participants by credit card.

The Same-Day-Access program is for certified MetroAccess participants who must reside in Montgomery County and have a current MetroAccess Identification Card. All Montgomery County Residents that have current MetroAccess Identification cards qualify to purchase one Call ‘N’ Ride taxi coupon book per month valued at $60.00 for $30.00.
