Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) is planning to design and construct a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line along US 29 to meet the needs of residents and businesses along this busy route. The project extends from the Burtonsville Park & Ride lot south to the Silver Spring Transit Center, a distance of about 12 miles. To facilitate communication with corridor advisory committees (CACs), it was decided to have two CACs each one focusing on a different segment of the corridor. But after April 2017, three CACs instead of two CACs have been assigned to the corridor. These three CACs are the following:
