County Councilmember Marilyn Praisner has been chosen as "Woman of the Year" by the Montgomery County Business & Professional Women’s Club.
"You have certainly demonstrated your support of business and professional women over the years through your obvious attitude and actions on the many issues that face women today," said Nan P. Kimber of the club.
"I’m honored to be chosen by such an oustanding organization," said Councilmember Praisner, who has served on the Council since 1990 and chairs the Management and Fiscal Policy Committee. She is a leader in the Maryland Association of Counties and National Association of Counties.
The award will be presented at a Business & Professional Women’s Club dinner on Tuesday, October 17 at the Doubletree Hotel in Rockville.
