AN EXPEDITED ACT to authorize the planning, design, and construction of a new building to replace the Dennis Avenue Health Center on the existing site adjoining the existing building located at 2000 Dennis Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland, Project No. 641106, in the Kensington-Wheaton planning area.

The County Council for Montgomery County, Maryland approves the following Act:


Sec. 1.  The laws of Montgomery County, Maryland, are amended to read as follows:

          Montgomery County, Maryland, is authorized to plan, design, and construct the Dennis Avenue Health Center, Project No. 641106, in the Kensington-Wheaton planning area.  This authorization includes all necessary planning, design, site improvements, equipment, and structures.

Sec. 2.  Expedited Effective Date.

          The Council declares that this legislation is necessary for the immediate protection of the public interest.  This Act takes effect on the date on which it becomes law.
