Subsidized transportation program for City of Rockville who need transportation and cannot use existing public transportation services. The program provides a monthly transportation subsidy to eligible low income adults 60+ with and without disabilities. Transportation services are provided through private taxicab companies. Transportation is a curb-to-curb service and trips may be made for any purpose within Montgomery County. Participants are eligible to receive a monthly subsidy value of $34.00 through paper coupons. There are a limited number of wheelchair accessible taxicabs in Montgomery County. It is recommended that participants requiring a wheelchair accessible vehicles make their reservation with a taxicab company 24 hours or more in advance.
