Women Veterans Day June 12 - Honoring Montgomery County Women Veterans Who Served in the U.S. Armed and Uniformed Services

Women Veterans Day - June 12

Women Veterans Day is celebrated on June 12th in the United States to commemorate the anniversary of the Women's Armed Services Integration Act of 1948. On this day, President Harry S. Truman signed the act, which allowed women to serve as permanent members of the military. The day's goal is to honor the service and sacrifices of women veterans, as well as the unique challenges they face.
