Montgomery County wants all children to have equal access to high-quality early care and education and after-school programming. Child Care Support Service's mission is to connect comprehensive services that support and build a successful child care delivery system through coaching, professional development, and individualized support. Our diverse and multi-lingual team is here to help you along the journey.
We provide a comprehensive approach to supporting child care needs:
Expansion: Increasing child care seats in the community that meet licensing requirements
Coaching: Working directly with the educator on their daily practice
Quality Enhancement: Working with the program to achieve business and quality benchmarks
Professional Development: Developing knowledge and skills that expand and enhance understanding
Community Engagement: Connecting families to meaningful supports

Our services include a variety of supports for child care professionals. Our services include:
- Coaching
- Nurse consultation
- Technical assistance with Maryland EXCELS and accreditation
- Professional development such as workshops, courses, and conferences
- Career counseling for credentials and educational pathways
- Business counseling and support for your child care business
When you work with one of our team members you can be assured they have the expertise to guide you as well as have a clear understanding of what you are going through. In addition, the staff is connected at both the local and state levels through steering committees, workgroups, and advisory boards.

The Montgomery County Child Care Support Services is a member of the Maryland Child Care Resource Network with funding provided from the Maryland State Department of Education, through the Maryland Family Network. Additional Maryland State Department of Education funding supports the Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation Project.
