Free Tax Preparation

Community Action's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, offers free tax preparation at the TESS Community Action Center on Tuesdays during the tax season (mid-January through mid-April). Please check the CASHBACK website for the most up-to-date information about VITA services.

Free Legal Advice

The Montgomery County Bar Foundation's Pro Bono Program hosts free legal clinics at TESS on the first and third Wednesday of every month. Registration is available 6 - 6:30 pm. Please call 301-424-7651 for more information. Information in English, Spanish, and Amharic.

Senior Socials

Health Promoters

Health Promoters from the Latino Health Initiative are onsite at TESS on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 9-11:30 am, sharing important health information and resources with residents.

Coffee Chats

IMPACT Silver Spring hosts coffee chats at TESS on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 9 – 11:30 am. A Long Branch Network Builder leads these events, engaging residents who come to TESS during walk-in hours. The Network Builder shares information and resources in the Long Branch community. Residents also have the opportunity share their concerns, allowing the Network Builder to compile information to relay to the TESS team.
