Are You Hosting an Event For Your Community?
Montgomery County established the NEMF to promote community engagement, encourage capacity building, networking, and stimulate the local economy. This program is administered by the five Regional Service Offices. Neighborhood organizations, block groups, tenant associations, and civic clubs that are active and in good standing may apply for funds up to $1,000 to hold events and activities by completing an application. MCCAB and WUDAC monthly meetings
The Mid-County Regional Area has several boards and committees which meet virtually on a monthly basis. Community members may attend these meetings and may also request an agenda or minutes for any of them.

MoCo Service HUBS
Service Consolidation Hubs are a partnership of eight community based organizations and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), with collaboration from other nonprofit partners to serve MOCO residents in need with food and other resources. Offerings include (but may not be limited to): Free food at weekly drive-through and walk-in distribution sites. Diapers and some baby needs. Home delivery of food, prepared meals and other necessities those experiencing emergencies or transportation barriers. Case management and connection with other resources and County services.
The Mid-County Regional Services Center is the local government office for Ashton, Aspen Hill, Brookeville, Capital View, Derwood, forest Glen, Glenmont, Kemp Mill, Kensington, Layhill, Norbeck, Olney, Sandy Spring, Upper Rock Creek, and Wheaton communities. The Regional Services Director serves the following functions:
- Strengthens communication between the community and various agencies of County Government;
- Identifies regional priorities and future service needs;
- Recommends programs and policies tailored to the local community;
- And oversees County services in downtown Wheaton performed by the Wheaton Clean and Safe Teams.
