About the Advisory Board

The Citizens Advisory Board advises the County Executive and the County Council on area priorities; needs of the Western Montgomery County region for programs and/or services; impact of current services (effectiveness); identification and understanding of BCC regional Services Area communities and proposed changes in government services for the area.

The Board is comprised of 19 representatives - twelve neighborhood representatives, six business community representatives, and one non-profit representative. As representatives to and from these communities, the Board strives to reflect the varying points of view within the region.  The Board has committees on land use, transportation, budget, public safety, and quality of life.
