The map below presents the three corridors that Montgomery County and the State of Maryland are currently studying for possible bus rapid transit (BRT) implementation:

The three corridors were divided into five segments so that a different Corridor Advisory Committee would be assigned to each of them. These five segments are also shown in the map above.

The three corridors are part of ten corridors that were proposed in the Countywide Transit Corridors Functional Master Plan. The interactive map below presents those ten corridors. To view a proposed BRT corridor name, description, and other information, hover above any route, then click to see route detail.

IMPORTANT: The above two maps indicate which roads would be used for the proposed BRT network. They DO NOT indicate the specific treatment that each road would have (that is, no specification is made on whether the BRT vehicles would use median dedicated lanes, curbside dedicated lanes, or mixed lanes).
