Angela Whitehead Quigley was appointed to the Commission in July 2014. She has been a resident of Montgomery County since 2002 and active in the community through volunteer work with the Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital and the Interfaith Families Project of the Greater Washington, D.C. Area. She also serves as Co-chair of the Lawyers at Home Committee of the Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia. Ms. Quigley worked as a staff attorney at the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights advising the Assistant Secretary on complex legal issues relating to Title IX, specifically the access to athletic opportunities for young women and girls. Ms. Quigley holds a B.A. in Government and American Studies from Cornell University and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
