Angela Whitehead Quigley was appointed to the Commission in July 2014. Angela currently works for the Diversity and Flexibility Alliance, a think tank helping organizations enhance their diversity and work flexibility initiatives. She previously worked as a staff attorney at the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights advising the Assistant Secretary on complex legal issues relating to Title IX, specifically the access to athletic opportunities for young women and girls. She holds a B.A. in Government and American Studies from Cornell University and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law.

Angela has been a resident of Montgomery County since 2002 and active in the community through volunteer work with the Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital and the Interfaith Families Project of the Greater Washington, D.C. Area. As a member of the Women’s Bar Association of D.C., she has co-chaired both the Lawyers at Home and Future Leaders Committees. Additionally, she was recently appointed to the President’s Council of Cornell Women. She currently lives in the Olney area with her husband and two children.
