Lindsey Turnbull is the founder of MissHeard Media, a media and events company that empowers tween and teen girls to feel more confident, capable, and connected. As a girl advocate with over a decade of experience, she has helped hundreds of girls embrace their most confident, competent selves. Using her background in history and leadership development, she uses her research, writing, and presentation skills to create media and workshop experiences for teen girls that Huffington Post said “chang[es] the global narrative for women.” Her ultimate goal is to help teen girls shape the world by encouraging empathy and global savvy.

Lindsey has served her community as a Girls on the Run coach and has served on the planning committee for the Choose Respect Healthy Dating conference. She also serves as a Chief Election Judge for the county. Lindsey sailed with eXXpedition, an all-femme citizen science mission to research ocean plastic. She is an eXXpedition ambassador, working to tackle the issue of plastic pollution.

Lindsey holds a Master’s in Public History from the University of Central Florida, as well as bachelor’s degrees in History and Anthropology. In 2018, Lindsey was named a ’30 Under 30′ Trailblazing Alum.

In her free time, Lindsey enjoys fitness, travel, going to concerts, and reading murder mysteries.
