Accessing the APP

Click Montgomery County, MD: Climate Action Portal
Open up the Climate Plans & Reports
Look for the CAP Report APP
Use your Single Sign-On: [email protected], and your password.

Levels of Access

There are three levels of access: USERS, APPROVERS, and ADMINS.

Instructions for USERS

You will see only Action Items for your team (LEAD or CONTRIBUTOR).
Open your Action Items by clicking the hyperlink with the red background on the home page, or select "Action Item" from the menu bar.
Click Edit next to the item you want to comment on.
Enter comments in each section. Use NA if no comment.
Click on the "Bubbles" section to select a status.
In the "Action" section, choose ENTERED.
Optional: Click Upload Documents at the top if you have pictures or infographics to submit.

Instructions for APPROVERS

You will see only Action Items for your team (LEAD or CONTRIBUTOR).
Open your Action Items using the red section on the right.
Click Edit on the item you wish to approve.
Review the submission and take one of the following actions:
- Edit directly and set "Current Status" to DEPARTMENT APPROVED.
- Return to USER and set "Current Status" to RETURN FOR EDITING.
- If no changes needed, set "Current Status" to DEPARTMENT APPROVED.
APPROVERS have the same access as USERS. One person may fill both roles.

Helpful Hints for Everyone

ADMINS will mark submissions as APPROVE FOR FINAL PRODUCTION. This locks the submission from further editing.
ADMINS can also return submissions to USERS for changes.
If your submission is returned, you will receive an email notification.
Check the COMMENTS section of the Action Item for revision instructions.
To sort data, click the funnel icon at the top of any column.
To view FY24 submissions, click FY24 in the Action Item form. Note that this is a compiled narrative and may not match last year exactly.
