Initiative
Bill 11-15, Child Care Expansion and Quality Enhancement Initiative, sponsored by
Councilmembers Navarro and Floreen, was introduced on March 3, 2015. A joint Health and
Human ServiceslEducation Committee worksession is tentatively scheduled for April 17 at 2 p.m.
Bill 11-15 would create a Child Care Expansion and Quality Enhancement Initiative in the
Department of Health and Human Services. The Bill would also specify the duties to implement
the Initiative.

this Article, the following words have the meanings

means the Department ofHealth and Human Services.

has the same meaning as in Section 5-550 of
