February 2019 Updates

Collecting Public Inputs For A Preferred Facility Concept Through March 31, 2019

The Dale Drive Pedestrian Facility Improvement Project — Facility Planning Study will evaluate long-term pedestrian facility improvements on Dale Drive, such as concrete sidewalk, shared use path, and various traffic safety measures. This phase of the project will result in the development of the preliminary (35%) design. There is no funding scheduled for final design and construction at this time.

On Tuesday, February 12, 2019, Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) hosted a public workshop on the Dale Drive Pedestrian Facility Improvement Project — Facility Planning Study. At the public workshop, the project team presented several preliminary concepts and the impacts, as well as the final survey results from the community survey ended in November.

As part of the public outreach effort, MCDOT is collecting public inputs for a preferred facility concept and intersection concept. We encourage community members to share their thoughts and feedbacks, as well as any questions and concerns regarding this project, via the contact information under the “Contact Us” tab.

Though we welcome the public to provide comments and feedback at any point throughout this project, we would greatly appreciate to receive your comments by March 31, 2019. Besides sending your comments via postal and email, an online comment collector has also been created to simplify the process on collecting inputs from the community.
