Caroline SturgisCaroline Sturgis is currently serving as an Assistant Chief Administrative Officer for Montgomery County Government, Maryland. She joined the County in March 2019 and brings over 20 years of local government experience with an extensive background in public finance and performance management. She assists the County Executive advance two of his Priority Outcomes - “Thriving Youth and Families” and “Safe Neighborhoods.” As an advocate for education, health and safety, she serves as a strategic partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that youth and families have programs that will allow them to succeed in life and help create safe communities for all residents.  Caroline also serves on Seneca Heights Apartments Board of Governance, Charter Review Commission, Vision Zero Taskforce, and Early Care and Education Steering Committee.

Prior to joining the County, Caroline worked for the City of Baltimore for 15 years in various positions including as the assistant director for acquisition and relocation while at Housing and Community Development, the chief financial officer for Baltimore Police Department, and the City’s deputy budget director. Before relocating to Maryland, Caroline worked as a financial operations manager for Broward County Clerk of Courts in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Caroline earned her master’s in business administration from Nova Southeastern University and her bachelor’s in psychology from University of South Florida.
