Flooding

Flooding is the most frequent severe weather event and the costliest natural disaster. As climate change progresses, Montgomery County is taking steps to better understand flooding risks and working to reduce these risks. This website provides information about how to stay safe during a flood; the County’s flood management efforts, including modeling of flood risk; and the steps residents can take to plan for, minimize the risk of, and recover from flooding.
