How to Apply

VICTIMS
 
Call 240-777-4195 or 240-777-4210 if you are a victim.  We are located at 1301 Piccard Drive, Suite 1400, Rockville.  All assessments for our domestic violence shelter are performed through the 24/7 Crisis Center.  Our Crisis line is 240-777-4673 (HOPE).    We offer individual, psycho-educational and therapy groups for victims.  We provide psychiatric consultation and medication as needed.  We provide victim assistance services for criminal justice advocacy, court accompaniment, assistance with filing peace and protective orders, and processing of crime victim's compensation.  Shelter services are available for victims escaping domestic violence high lethality situations, sexual assault and human trafficking victims.  
 

OFFENDERS

Services for male or female offenders are available by calling 240-777-4210. 

We offer the Abuser Intervention Program (AIP) for male offenders with the following two tracks: 

  • If you have been referred by pre-trial services for Phase 1 (6 weeks) ONLY, you can go straight to orientation on any Monday evening at 5 pm, in English and 6 pm in Spanish, located at 981 Rollins Ave, Rockville, MD 20852.  
  • If you have been referred for the full 22 week program (by court order, probation officer, child welfare, protective order, or state's attorney's office), please call 240-777-4210 to set up an intake appointment.  

Classes are available weekday evenings and Saturday mornings.  You can select a class time when you attend orientation.  Each class is 90 minutes long.  We will cover topics including personal change, power and control, respect, anger management, stress, abusive behaviors and more.

Eligibility Requirements

VICTMS

All Montgomery County residents or victims of domestic violence committed in Montgomery County.  

OFFENDERS

All Montgomery County residents or if you are court ordered in Montgomery County by a judge.

Fees and Payments

VICTMS

  • There is no charge for victim assistance services.
  • Individual counseling (0-$40) and group counseling (0-$20) services are based on a sliding scale  The first session of counseling services is free and subsequent sessions are based on a sliding scale, depending on income.  Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted. 

OFFENDERS

  • There is no cost for orientation or first intake appointment.
  • Group counseling is $20 per session.  If you have a low income, you may be eligible for a fee reduction.
