ALEXANDRE A. ESPINOSA
Mr. Espinosa, as Director of Finance, holds an ex-officio position on the Board.
Mr. Espinosa was appointed Director of Finance in August 2016. As Director of Finance, Mr. Espinosa is responsible for directing all of the activities of the County’s Department of Finance including issuing debt, revenue collection, risk management, preparation of financial statements, and developing and implementing sound fiscal policies. Prior to his appointment, he served in various positions in the Office of Management and Budget since 1997, most recently as acting Deputy Director and Operating Budget Coordinator where he provided strategic and technical oversight of the development and administration of the operating budget. Mr. Espinosa’s service for the County includes extensive work in the areas of multi-year budgeting, fiscal policy, collective bargaining, and compensation and benefits.
Mr. Espinosa holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a Master in Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
