To mitigate and lessen the spread of COVID-19 ( coronavirus), the Police Department is suspending the following programs until further notice:

  • Fingerprinting services
  • Police Station tours and Emergency Communications Center tours
  • Ride-along program
  • Community training and events held at the Public Safety Training Academy
  • Keeping Seniors Safe Program
  • Volunteeer programs to include Police Explorer Program
  • Montgomery County Animal Services & Adoption Center - Appointments only! Please click on link for specific information 
  • Obtaining police reports at the Montgomery County Police Records Division front counter located at the Public Safety Headquarters.  Residents may still obtain a police report by mail (please click here for instructions).  Residents can call the Records Division at 240-773-5330, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with any questions.  The Records Division can also be reached by email at:

In addition, the Emergency Communications Center will be screening calls for service and referring additional calls to the Telephone Reporting Unit (TRU) in an effort to limit exposure and maintain appropriate social distancing in response to the COVID-19 situation.
