Child Care Subsidy Programs
The Department has two programs that can assist eligible families by contributing to the cost of child care, the federal/state funded Purchase of Child Care Program (POC) and the county funded Working Parents Assistance Program (WPA). Only one application is needed for both programs. The caseworker determines which program the applicant is eligible for; families whose income is over scale for POC are then assessed to determine if they meet the criteria for WPA.
