About
- The Local Interagency Coordinating Council (LICC) functions as an oversight body for the Montgomery County Infants and Toddlers Program (MCITP) . It is mandated by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE).
- The LICC advises and assists the lead agency in administering, planning, coordinating, and improving the early intervention and education system.
- The LICC works together with the MCITP to ensure that all children with disabilities (birth-kindergarten eligibility age) and their families have access to appropriate developmental and educational services.
Mission
- Ensure the coordination of early intervention services for infants and toddlers with developmental delays, atypical development, and those with a high probability of delay;
- Facilitate family and professional collaboration in the planning and implantation of comprehensive policies and programs;
- Promote the development of accessible and responsive early intervention service delivery systems in Montgomery County
