Mission

The MCITP Family Support Network supports families with children who have special needs in accessing resources and services to achieve the best possible outcomes for each child and family.

 

 

The Family Support Network seeks to:

• Increase the involvement of parents and guardians in the early intervention and special education decision-making process
• Develop collaborative relationships between Family Support Network and MCITP staff, families, and community members by providing information and training
• Connect parents and children to local agencies and resources that can assist them
• Establish supportive networks among parents in local communities'
• Provide information about disabilities and school system resourcesHelp families resolve concerns and make informed decisions about their child’s education
