Community Memorial Services

The purpose of the Community Memorial Event is to remember and honor the lives of people who experienced homelessness in our community and passed away last year. They mattered to us and to many others. They were mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, daughters and sons. Most of them were able to pass away with dignity in their own housing, but too many died while they were experiencing homelessness.

The Community Memorial Services was held on June 5, 2025. This year's event featured the first Terence Hill Memorial Award presented to an individual with lived experience that has helped improve the quality of life for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Terence tirelessly served his community as service provider, Chair of the People’s Committee, and Commissioner for the Interagency Commission on Homelessness (ICH).
