What We Do

The OEIS implements security requirements and policies that ensure the confidentiality, integrity, availability and privacy of County residents’ data, networks, and communications systems. We mitigate risks and vulnerabilities by developing and implementing information security policies that meet federal, state, and local government  regulations to facilitate secure operation of business systems, policies, and processes. We recognize that people are our greatest assets when it comes to ensuring cybersecurity awareness and prevention of cyber attacks. To that end, we promote a culture where industry best practices are implemented in our systems and encouraged in our behaviors through our Information Security Awareness and Training Program (ISATP.) All County employees, contractors, volunteers, and business partners are required to take the monthly training.
