Gilchrist Classes & Programs

- English Conversation classes - Ongoing (no registration required, drop in as often as you like).
- Tuesdays, 1:30pm - 3pm (Intermediate)
- Tuesdays, 1:30pm - 3pm (Advanced)
- Wednesdays, 1:30pm - 3pm (Basic)

- 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. Sign in from 6pm-6:30pm (space is limited).
- Free legal advice in civil cases for low-income Montgomery County residents. No appointment necessary (walk-in). See flyer (English-PDF) / (Amharic-PDF) for more details.
- Free In-Person Citizenship Consultations (APALRC)
- Meet with an attorney with the Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center (APALRC) for help applying for citizenship and for help with legal questions. All nationalities welcome. Contact or visit the Gilchrist Center for more information and to schedule an appointment.

- Gaithersburg Financial Empowerment Center- Offered by City of Gaithersburg
- Fridays, 10am - 2:30pm. By appointment only.
- City of Gaithersburg residents of all income levels can receive free, one-on-one financial counseling to help manage their finances, pay down debt, and build credit to create a path to financial security. See flyer (English - PDF) (Español - PDF) for details.
- Montgomery College Community Engagement (PDF)
- 1st Tuesday of the month in the 1st floor library lobby and 3rd Thursday of the month in the Gilchrist Center office (2nd floor) from 5pm-7pm
- In-person help with applying and enrolling for classes, learning about courses, career exploration, foreign credentialing, and applying for scholarships and financial aid.
