Health and Wellness Committee

The Commission on Aging Health & Wellness Committee consists of As an integral part of the Commission on Aging’s (CoA’s) mandate to educate and advocate for Montgomery County’s older adults, the Health and Wellness Committee’s mission is to inform and support the CoA in advocating for resources, services, and programs that contribute to the physical, cognitive, and emotional health and wellbeing of the County’s older adults. The Committee’s goals include:

  • Ensuring that members are up-to-date and knowledgeable on current information on which to make recommendations, including: existing and emerging health and wellness issues; ongoing, new, and innovative programming opportunities; and challenges to meeting goals.  
  • Educating legislators about health and wellness initiatives and issues that require attention and support; and 
  • Educating the County’s older residents about major topics related to their health.
