Child care
Child care providers may reopen provided the following guidelines are met and followed:
- General Operating Requirements
- While in Phase 2, relaxed teacher-child ratios for three year old to 12 year old programs will be 1:14.

- Ratio Waiver (PDF), November 19, 2020, Maryland State Department of Education
- Programs serving infants, toddlers and two year olds will continue to follow COMAR ratios.

Positive COVID-19 Cases
Child care facilities are required under Maryland Annotated Code Health General 18-202 and COMAR 10.06.01.04 to immediately report any positive COVID-19 cases (among children, staff, or administration) to Montgomery County’s Disease Control Team at 240-777-1755.
