How Do I Get a Covid-19 Test in Montgomery County?

We offer testing to Montgomery County residents who

  • think they may have been exposed to COVID-19, or
  • need testing to meet work requirements.

Testing is free but appointments are needed. We do not require a government ID or a doctor's order. If you have insurance, we will ask for your information, but there are no co-pays or deductibles.

To make an appointment, call the Testing Helpline at 240-777-1755. The Helpline is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week. (The Testing Helpline will be closed on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, for the Independence Day holiday.

AdvaGenix - Advanced Genetic SciencesMontgomery County contracted with Rockville-based AdvaGenix to acquire thousands of COVID-19 tests which are self-administered and use an oral swab (mouth). The County will make the tests available to first responders, staff and residents at long-term care facilities and County Department of Corrections employees.
