There are many ways to help Montgomery County during this crisis. Find out how you can make a difference by signing up as a volunteer with the Montgomery County Volunteer Center or Medical Reserve Corps, donating Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), or getting trained in how to assist your neighbors and co-workers in any emergency situation through CERT.

Montgomery County Volunteer Center

The Montgomery County Volunteer Center has resources for those that would like to volunteer during this crisis. Organizations with volunteer needs can also post opportunities to the site.

Medical Reserve Corps

The Maryland Responds Medical Reserve Corps, coordinated with Department of Health and Human Services, is recruiting responders to serve a range of COVID-19-related needs. They are especially looking for volunteers with clinical backgrounds.

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)

Montgomery CERT is made up of community volunteers that give their time to making the county a more resilient and better place to live. Find out how you can get trained in how to assist your neighbors and co-workers in any emergency situation.

Community Recovery Advisory Group

The Community Recovery Advisory Group advises the County Executive and County Council on the needs of the community in recovery and how the County can achieve a new normal that is more equitable than before the pandemic.

Donate Essential Goods

Donate essential goods, including food and health items, to local food and service consolidation hubs.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Montgomery County is still accepting protective equipment for essential workers, and is asking the public for donations of PPE. PPE is needed to help keep essential workers safe while working in our county and on the pandemic's frontlines. Personal Protective Equipment includes:

  • Respirators (N95 or KN95) Masks (surgical or procedural)
  • Gowns (medical, isolation, or surgical)
  • Face Shields (medical goggles or safety glasses)
  • Gloves
