Burtonsville Access Road

Project Schedule

This project duration is approx. 14 months. Construction is scheduled to begin May 2025 with anticipated completion in the Summer of 2026. Crews will perform work onsite from 7:00am to 5:00pm weekdays and on weekends of it is deemed necessary for the schedule. Work will be done on the project in a closed site until the time that the new construction will tie in to the existing streets.

Project Updates

Completed Work as of week ending 8/29/2025:

• The two Retaining Walls on the project have been constructed.
• New storm drain installation has continued from the west to east toward the shopping center.
• The new Temporary Sediment Basin is complete and accepting storm water as designed.
• The School Alley Way access has been reopened for the new School year.

Upcoming Scheduled Work:

• The Contractor will continue with the installation of storm drain along the new Burtonsville Access Road.
• Grading for the new roadway and subgrade will begin.
• Work along the Shopping Center Road will begin as the Contractor starts preliminary work to tie-in the proposed roadway section to the current road.
