Summit Avenue Community Sidewalk Proposal

The Summit Avenue Sidewalk Proposal offers for examination and comment the potential re-installation of a 6-foot-wide, ADA-compliant, concrete sidewalk with an added 1 to 3-foot buffering greenspace along Summit Avenue from its intersection with Prospect Street to Knowles Avenue in Kensington, Maryland. The new sidewalk will replace the 3-foot-wide concrete sidewalk in this section of Summit Avenue which was constructed at the back of the curb.

Project Schedule

The Summit Avenue Sidewalk Proposal was issued to residents for comment and questions on August 16, 2021. A virtual public hearing may be scheduled as part of the final decision-making process. Details will be provided once a public hearing is scheduled.
