Volunteers are essential to our work!

Join our team!

Volunteers bring energy, dedication, skills and warmth to the Gilchrist Immigrant Resource Center, and make it possible for us to offer classes to hundreds of students each year.  Our volunteers help our students learn new skills that will allow them to support themselves and their families, create supportive environments which foster a sense of community, and gain fulfillment by helping others succeed. The Gilchrist Immigrant Resource Center provides orientation, training, online teaching resources, and a lot of appreciation to our volunteers.  Join us!

Are you interested in volunteering with us?

Our greatest need is for teachers! All of our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), English Conversation, and Basic Computer classes are taught by volunteers. If you have teaching, training, tutoring, or facilitation experience, or are interested in developing these skills, please contact us! Please note that all of our classes are currently taught online via Zoom.

To apply, please complete our: Online Volunteer Application Form

We will be in touch as soon as possible to discuss volunteer opportunities.
