Montgomery County Lynching Memorial Project (MoCoLMP)
The Montgomery County Lynching Memorial Project seeks to educate and engage the community about the history and legacy of lynching and racial terrorism in Montgomery County, Maryland; to gather soil from the three known lynching sites in the county; and to work with community groups and the Montgomery County Commission on Remembrance and Reconciliation to procure the installation of historical markers and monuments commemorating these events. As a grassroots organization we partner with the Equal Justice Initiative’s Community Remembrance Project.

Maryland Lynching Memorial Project
The Maryland Lynching Memorial Project is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization that works to advance the cause of reconciliation in our state by documenting the history of racial terror lynchings, advocating for public acknowledgement of these murders and working to honor and dignify the lives of the victims.

Equal Justice Initiative (EJI)
EJI is a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides legal representation to people who have been illegally convicted, unfairly sentenced, or abused in state jails and prisons. They challenge the death penalty and excessive punishment and provide re-entry assistance to formerly incarcerated people. EJI works with communities that have been marginalized by poverty and discouraged by unequal treatment. They are committed to changing the narrative about race in America.

Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County
The Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County, in partnership with the community, cultivates and supports excellence in the arts and humanities, expands access to cultural expression, and contributes to economic vitality in the region.

Montgomery History
Montgomery History has been serving the local community through its exhibitions, programs, educational activities, library, and conferences since its founding in 1944. Their mission is to collect, preserve, interpret, and share the histories of all of Montgomery County’s residents.

Menare Foundation
The Menare Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of Underground Railroad history, historic sites and environments and to the creation of vibrant educational programs. Through assistance and training, Menare works with individuals, organizations and communities to use history as a spark for human potential.

Lincoln Park Historical Foundation
The Foundation's goals are to enhance community pride by focusing on the contributions made by African Americans; encourage community participation through training; facilitate communication between diverse groups; and empower county citizens with researching the history of their community. They also provide ongoing programs and services to support poor, distressed and underserved areas; strive to increase the quality of life for those citizens through shared community history; and provide community service hours for those who need to give back to the community.

Montgomery County Human Rights Commission
The Commission has 15 members. The members are appointed by the County Executive and confirmed by the County Council. The Commission's duties mandate that it work to eliminate discrimination, prejudice, intolerance, and bigotry in housing, recreation, education, health, employment, public accommodations, and justice, regardless of race, color, religious creed, ancestry, national origin, sex, age, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, genetic status, presence of children, or source of income, and promote goodwill, cooperation, understanding and human relations among all residents.The members of the Commission serve without compensation.

Rockville Human Rights Commission
The Human Rights Commission (HRC) is an 11-member group of volunteers, appointed by the Mayor and Council, that is charged with minimizing the effects of conflict and promoting an appreciation of diversity within the city. To meet these goals, the HRC provides a variety of services and educational and cultural programs that promote global thinking, encourage civic awareness, and/or reflect the rich diversity found in the city.

Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission
Founded in 1927, the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) is a nationally recognized leader in land use planning, parks, and recreation achieving countless awards for innovation, stewardship and exemplary vision for enhancing the lives of current and future generations. The agency, which is chartered by the State of Maryland, has geographic authority in the Montgomery County and Prince George’s County regions.

Montgomery College
Montgomery College is a public, fully accredited institution dedicated to student success and widely recognized for the quality and scope of its academic programs.

Montgomery County Public Schools
Montgomery County Public Schools is a public school district with 208 schools. It is the largest school district in the state of Maryland, and the 14th largest in the United States.

Montgomery Community Media (MCM)
MyMCMedia.org is the epitome of today’s transformation of access TV, combining content, information and engagement into an easy to use, mobile platform. Montgomery Community Media (MCM) is the only independent, nonprofit organization providing access to public media (public access television and broadband media) directly to Montgomery County’s over one million residents as well as the resident non-profit organizations, associations and businesses.
