Temporary Traffic Control

Temporary Traffic Controls provide direction for motorists and pedestrians when temporary work activities (road construction, maintenance, utility work and roadway incidents) interfere with normal traffic flow. Work activities within County right-of-way require the installation and maintenance of traffic controls to safely direct motorists and pedestrians around the work area. These controls are also installed for the safety of the workers and street users. This is often accomplished with advance warning signs, channelizing devices (drums or cones) and flashing arrow panels.
