Montgomery County Athletic Fields
Online Reservation for Athletic Fields
Customers may check availability and reserve time at the following County athletic fields during the opening seasons through ActiveMONTGOMERY, a new cloud-based reservation software.
- MCPS Elementary and Middle Schools
- M-NCPPC Local Parks
- MCRD Community Recreation Centers
Please note that field time at many sites is assigned directly to sports leagues and organizations. CUPF recommends that you contact your organization with any practice or game field needs before submitting a facility reservation request via ActiveMONTGOMERY.
County fields may be reserved on the half-hour. On days when County schools are in session, elementary school fields maybe reserved beginning at 3:30 pm or 4:00 pm; middle school fields at 5:30 pm.
Artificial Turf Fields

Montgomery County Public Schools Artificial Turf Fields Program
High School Natural Grass Fields
Contact the respective school directly to request use of a high school natural grass field. CUPF may issue a permit ONLY with approval by the school’s administrative staff.

Cancellation and Adjustment
Cancellation & Adjustment Fee applies (excluding Large Events and Camps) with at least 10-business days’ notice (see our Facility Fees page for additional information):
- $25 each cancellation/adjustment for School Fields
- $50 each cancellation/adjustment for Montgomery Parks Fields
Every application resulting in an approved permit represents a financial obligation. All requests for cancellations or adjustments must be submitted in writing and received during normal office hours. No refund of facility fees without adequate notice per the cancellation policy. Otherwise, all facility fees will be retained. No refunds or credit for permits that are not cancelled in a timely manner even if the space is not used.
Inclement Weather Policy
Athletic fields will be closed during periods of inclement weather in accordance with local and regional park closures. Contact the M-NCPPC/CUPF inclement weather line at 301-765-8787 to determine if your field is open or closed. Click here for information about which region your field is assigned.
All refund requests for field time cancelled due to inclement weather must be submitted in a sortable spreadsheet within 15 days of the end of the season.
