recycling bin, paper cart, and trash canMonday, July 4, 2016, Independence Day: No County-provided recycling or trash collections on July 4; all pickups that week slide by one day. Transfer Station closed July 4. See holiday details

To help avoid mosquito breeding: Store your recycling bin out of the rain. Though the bin has drain holes, dump out even small amounts of water. Do this weekly. See more mosquito tips.

Tour the Recycling Center

Visitors ranging in age from preschoolers to seniors enjoy coming to our award-winning Recycling Center. They have hailed from all over the world!

What do group tours include?

Allow one hour for guided tours. Thank you for arriving on time. Our schedule often has back-to-back tours.

The visit includes an age-appropriate presentation addressing recycling, reuse, and waste reduction. Then, visitors head upstairs to view the Recycling Center's sorting machinery. The facility is wheelchair accessible (it's helpful for us to know of your needs in advance).

Restroom facilities are limited. Please try to plan ahead in this regard.

There are no picnic or lunch facilities at the Recycling Center.
