Montgomery County passed legislation to phase-out the sale and use of gas-powered leaf blowers to address environmental, noise, and health concerns.

Rebate Program
To help offset the potential financial burden of making the conversion from gas-powered leaf blowers to electric leaf blowers, Montgomery County is developing a rebate program. Stay tuned for more information.
Retailers
Retailers will be required to provide notice to customers on the forthcoming ban on the sale and use of gas-powered leaf blowers. DEP will provide the notice signs for retail businesses to use in their stores.
