Buy an Electric Vehicle

EV Purchasing Co-op

The Montgomery County EV Purchasing Cooperative Pilot (EVPC) is designed to support residents and local businesses in their journey to owning and leasing new and pre-owned electric vehicles (EVs).

The EVPC uses the combined purchasing power of County residents and businesses to get discounts and incentives on electric vehicles from local dealerships. In addition, the EVPC connects members with a growing network of community partners, participating organizations, and “Electrified Dealers” to answer questions, organize events, support unique local benefits for EV drivers, and make EV ownership attractive, convenient, and cost-effective. Together, we can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and expand electrified transportation across the county!

EVs for Business Fleets

Electrify Business Fleets

Electric vehicles aren’t only for personal use – more and more companies are transitioning their fleets to EVs. Electrified business fleets save on fuel and maintenance costs and reduce GHG emissions across your entire operation. EV options have also rapidly expanded, with new medium and heavy-duty options now available to meet a variety of applications. Some local utilities offer technical assistance and rebate programs for installing EV charging for your fleet.

Electrified Dealers Program

Montgomery County is excited to work with local auto dealers through the Electrified Dealer Program to enhance the EV purchasing experience – these dealers are instrumental to increasing EV adoption.

Electrified Dealers have made electric vehicles a key part of their business. DEP provides Electrified Dealers with educational materials and training so residents can be confident that they are receiving the best information and service from sales staff. Check the Electrified Dealer Program Resources page for updates developed in partnership with local dealerships as we highlight the ways they are embracing the future of electrified transportation.
