Recycle at Apartments and Condos
Multi-Family Recycling Program (TRRAC)
What is TRRAC
All multi-family properties (apartments and condominiums) are required to recycle and those properties with seven or more dwelling units must report their recycling activities to Montgomery County each year. The TRRAC (Think, Reduce and Recycle at Apartments and Condominiums) Program provides education, outreach, training and technical assistance to multi-family property owners, managers, staff, green team members, haulers/collectors and residents to reduce waste and recycle more at apartments and condominiums, aiming for Zero Waste.
Food Scraps Recycling for Multi-Family Properties
The Montgomery County, Maryland Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Recycling and Resource Management Division’s (RRMD) Waste Reduction and Recycling Section is providing technical assistance and education to multi-family properties to implement a food scraps recycling collection program. This supports the County’s efforts toward reducing waste, reusing items and materials, and recycling more while aiming for Zero Waste.
