Parking Events


Summary
  • Montgomery County’s Parking Management Division plans, develops, and operates the public parking facilities in four primary Parking Lot Districts (PLD) - Bethesda, Montgomery Hills, Silver Spring, Wheaton and two secondary Parking Lot Districts (Greater Shady Grove and North Bethesda). The division is committed to providing a positive experience for residents, employees, and visitors. To further the county’s mission of establishing dynamic urban districts, the division facilitates the production of county sponsored and supported special events.

  • Throughout 2018, the division assisted in hosting over 50 events that ranged in size from 100 participants to well over 40,000. These events contribute in keeping the county’s urban districts distinctive, vibrant, economically healthy, and enjoyable places to live, work, and visit.
Application Process
  1. To host an event requiring street closures, please visit the Traffic Division website.

All event request submittals must be received at least four weeks in advance of the event date. Fees apply to the reserving of parking spaces for non-county sponsored events in the PLD’s.
