Library pages shelve materials and must be able to move a 60-70 pound book cart, reach, stoop, and bend. Positions are year around, 10 to 19 hours per week, Sunday through Saturday.
There are also Library Page positions available at Collection Management in Gaithersburg, where work primarily involves loading and unloading large bins of materials to be distributed to the library branches. Collection Management is our central sorting facility and is closed to the public.
These are non-merit positions.
Effective 6/29/2025, the hourly wage is $18.15.
You must be at least 14 years old to apply to be a library page. A Work Permit will be required if minor under the age of 18.
